A gambling site is an odd ball in the online world and
promotion of such resource is a very specific task.
I'm a marketing manager of an online casino operating
since 1999, and as many online marketing firms
are not willing to make business with us (due to the
uncertain status of this industry), we had to learn
to do everything ourselves.

Currently, our in-house marketing activities
(for our own online casino) include e-mail campaigns,
search engine optimization, CTR & CPA deals with major
gambling portals, proprietary affiliate program etc.
IMHO this model is a best solution for a gambling site,
because it gives you enough flexibility.

Flexibility in marketing and promotion activities is
a key factor in this both challenging and changeable
industry. Other factors affecting the efficiency
of running a gambling site, such as gaming software,
technical support or financial services, are usually
provided by the same suppliers for different gambling
sites. Hence they can't secure competitive advantage
to one or another casino. That's why flexibility
of marketing solutions, which is much easier to get
in-house, can give you an edge over your competition.
