Hi everyone,
I know that the CPM v. CPA debate is very important
to the online advertising industry and that many people
on this list have strong opinions about the issues.
However, it seems there was a time when we actually
discussed case studies or discussed what kind of
programs worked best and which failed miserably.
In this kind of economic climate, we need to come up
with new, fresh ideas from both the publisher and
advertiser side. This is a time for innovation
and drastic action to make online advertising work
for companies based on their goals and needs.
It seems that the CPM v CPA discussion is taking us
back and forth over the same ground without solving
anything or offering new suggestions.
OK, now that I've spouted off I have to work on some
ideas to share with the group :-)

[Note from Moderator: Tony's comments echo the many private
comments I've received from list members. A lot of the
CPA/CPM stuff that has been submitted you have not seen,
because I've killed it. But on a slow day, or if I think
something really new is offered, I let it go through. I'd
much rather approve posts on other topics, but how much of
that I am able to do is dependent upon what is submitted
by members of the list. --Cliff]
