Yahoo's little dirty secret?

There are so many people that claim to know how to
get you listed in Yahoo, how to ensure listing, how to
improve your listing and 100 other tricks to get you 5
more visitors. There however is a little secret about
Yahoo that most people don't want you to know _ and it's
pretty bad, so listen carefully. First of all, as many
of you know, in the last year or so, Yahoo launched a
paid service that allows you to submit your business
listing and it will be looked at within 72 hours. This
makes an assumption that there aren't people really
paying attention to the listings otherwise in a normal
time period.

Oh, but this isn't the secret. A while ago I owned a
computer gaming network (and sold it) that become pretty
popular at the time. I had the fortune of meeting a guy
who loved the network and loved computer games, and
happened to be the "monitor" for the games section of
Yahoo. He told me at that time that most listings never
make it into Yahoo, because they didn't have time to look
at all of them. But this still isn't the secret!

Here's the real secret: He informed me that he could
hook me up with a name and password that allowed me to
access a priority queue. This secret section of yahoo
allowed me to submit sites and guaranteed that someone
would look them at within a day. The result was amazing,
as every site in my network was listed within the first
week and 5 of them received little sunglasses (and they
still all do!) I was told by him that I was given access
to the queue because I was an "important" person in the
gaming industry, and knew of the best sites regarding
gaming.
