Re: Text vs. HTML Emails Ads

Don't forget to structure your email for your audience!
Are most of your users beginners on AOL, or are they in
business on Outlook? You should cater to the mass of
your audience, if possible.

Personally, I delete all html emails that are slow to
load unless I can identify that it's something I might
want to read. HTML emails are still a pain to read
even though I use up-to-date software, hardware and
have a DSL connection. Am so tired of receiving those
mortgage html emails! (They are always brightly
colored. I don't even have to wait for them to load
to identify them.)

Even if the html loads fairly quickly, there is a lot
to consider about format. Here's a study done by Ralph
Wilson.

Amidst all of the html/text controversy, some still
don't know what it takes to make a good marketing
piece. Isn't it the content that counts? That's
what will make the sale-not how good the piece looks.
Oh yeah, and adding the business name, URL and phone
number always helps too! It's amazing how many forget
the basics. Write on!
