Create an ebook version of your book and give it away for
free and allow anyone who downloads it to pass it on to their
friends, etc. You may also just give away a few chapters for
free. You can then put a link in the ebook that takes people
to a web site where they can buy the hard copy.

Seth Godin used this approach to spread the word about his
two books "Unleashing the Ideavirus" and "Permission Marketing".

People love free stuff and if they like your book, it will
quickly spread like a virus.
