Well here is an easy fix. Let us suppose for the moment
that each one of your top reps brings in 1,500 wk in a
salaried structure. If you were to keep that same
salaried structure and then give them bonuses based upon
results, then they have earned the extra income when
they meet that certain goal. I would make it a three
tier approach and offer bonuses of say $200 $400 $600
for each level of success. This avoids you giving away
the farm so to speak an gives them an incentive to reach
the top goal of level 3. Make sure you post results of
sales on a daily basis for all reps to see, and this
will cause other reps to want to keep the pace so to
speak. Each rep of course will have their own sales
target to reach (their current big accounts will not
matter) that should be given to them weekly and follow-
ups should be made in the same time period to make the
whole thing a success.
