Help getting quality traffic through search engines...
Hi All,
I believe that most will agree that getting qualified
traffic to your site is one of the keys to making it
online. How to do it in an affordable way while
ensuring you get enough to make your venture profitable
seems to be where the problems really appear.
Adding your site to all the major search engines after
making your site search engine friendly is probably a
good first step, but where am one to go after that? I
have looked around and found more programmes that
seemingly could help, but as they cost money I would
like to know about others experience with them before
trying any of them.
The ones I have come across are: Yahoo Express
Submission, LookSmart Express Submit, Altavista Express
inclusion, Lycos InSite Select, Google Adwords, Google
Adwords Select, Inktomi Search/Submit and Overture, but
there are surely other important opportunities out
there. I know I am mixing Apples and Oranges, but a
fruit bowl is really what most need to get what they
want in terms of targeted traffic I believe.
If someone could shed light on their experience with
advertising themselves through these kinds of schemes
including what they hoped to accomplish and what
actually happened would I be most grateful.
Kind regards,
Jan
