How exactly is including "some very specific information"
making sure your e-mail isn't spam? As I'm sure others on the
list have noted, if you sent an e-mail to someone who has not
opted in to receive it IS spam, ie. unsolicited commercial
e-mail. True, lack of relevancy -- if that's what you're
getting at -- can also be considered spam, but first you've
got to have permission.

Where have you been getting addresses? It sounds like you
are simply harvesting them.
I know a lot of people use a hotmail or yahoo address to
participate in lists like this, partly in order to avoid
having their e-mail address harvested. But if you are
sending out your e-mail marketing messages with your
hotmail address, you are automatically presumed to be a
spammer as far as I'm concerned.
