Thanks for the help on the tracking question. We decided to
add a tag to the link and had an easy time tracking.

Here is another somewhat remedial question: What is the
most efficient way to utilize viral marketing in an email
promotion? Again we have usually had smaller mailings so
I could rig it to do things more manually, now we are
getting into numbers that make that impossible. Is there a
java code or something simple to automate this?
