Without plugging [Note from Moderator... HRUMPH!], just
sharing, this is EXACTLY what we've
done with my newest e-book, "FrankelTips: The First Year."
It's a compilation of the first year's tactics, tips and
commentaries. I think it's important to merchandise the
contents with a table of contents readily visible, a sample
of which is available for you to view at

We're talking e-book here, but the thinking is that if
they like the e-book (priced at $2 less than an annual
subscription, which has more value because they get
answers to the questions they submit), they'll
eventually subscribe.

Man, we went all over the planet for a solution to this
one. There are watermarks, and all kinds of junk you
can do. In the end, we opted for placing the credit
card receipt on page two of the document before download.
That way, anyone who wants to pass on the file
passes on their personal information along with it.
