MODERATOR'S NOTE: Vancouver Redux; Santa Barbara Preview

Well, I've just left Vancouver after three days at the
Vancouver 2002 Internet Marketing Conference. If you
didn't join us there, then you really missed out on
a fine event. Not only is Vancouver an absolutely
lovely city, but the hard work that went into
planning the conference came through on each of the
three days of the program. And with all the networking
at the conference, I've now made some relationships in
Vancouver that may turn into steady Internet marketing
and media buying clients for Tenagra... possibly
providing the opportunity to go back and visit on
occasion.

It will probably come as no surprise to Online Ads
members that THE hot topic on the minds of conference
attendees was the subject of pay-per-click advertising,
followed closely by the topic of metrics for measuring
online performance. As I noted during my presentation on
Performance and Best Practices, Jim Sterne's E-METRICS
SUMMIT, to be held in Santa Barbara, June 25-26, will be a
great venue for exploring that latter topic in greater
detail. I hope that many Online Ads readers will take
advantage of the E-Metrics Summit
(see http://www.targetingemetrics.com/tenagra ) for the
same kind of continuing education and networking that we
all benefited from in Vancouver

And let me tell ya, there is nothing like spending
a day learning about Internet marketing only to
head out afterwards for an exciting evening of curling
with your Canadian colleagues. Jim, what are you
planning to offer to top that, eh?
