I am very interested in the FTC's new program to crackdown on fraudulent
email marketing. Is this good or bad news for the industry? It seems to me
that it might help marketing efforts because it can limit the junk that gets
to people, but at the same time, maybe its bad news, because it worsen, even
more, the image that the audience and potential costumers have of email
marketers. Also, there is the counteraction by the industry, offering paid
services to label email marketing "trustworthy". Is this the best for the
industry? What could be the effects? I would love to hear from those of you
in email marketing, or those of you who feel affected as consumers. I am
investigating a possibly will write an article on it.
