Actually, the challenge for art sites is just the
opposite. Because Pay Per Click programs allow for
very selective keyword targeting, the quality is very
high. We're running a PPC program involving hundreds
of keywords related to artists working in the
Americas. The biggest challenge is generating enough
volume. Artists who are popular off-line may be
almost unknown online. Building an effective PPC
program requires research, planning, hard work and
testing, but it can work very well for niche sites,
including those involved in the art world.
