As broadband increases, my feeling is that the major advertisers --
seeing that they can simply digitize their 30 TV commercials -- will
start flooding the cables with them. Up til that point, creating
online advertising was a totally different skill, requiring different
tools and extra costs. With digital video, they'll simply dupe an
extra copy for distribution to the sites of their choice.

Of course, that won't work, either, in terms of generating sales.
But they'll try it because it seems like the easiest way out.
