Sorry Moderator, I don't want to resurrect spam debates, but
I really do take issue with this logic in this forum, as you
are the moderator. Email spam is abhorrent/opposed because
it wastes someone else's resources/time. There are an
infinite number of ways to waste others' resources/time. To
understand the spam problem properly, people should really
be familiar with the ecology and resource economics
knowledge base, as well as utilitarianism, for example, just
for starters. Knowing logic and the facts pertaining to
human biology and emotion also helps.

The biggest spammers are those who are ignorant. That is one
reason that marketers and advertisers have a duty not to be
ignorant if they want to spam less.

Unsolicited direct mail imposes tremendous resources/time
costs on everyone else.
