Angered US?
Why US? The move angered everybody. Both EU and non-EU
online businesses don't like the idea of Interenet taxation.
Still, let's face it... it's not as if this move came unexpected...
Also, EU at least announced the change more then a year
before it will actually take effect!
If you would be living where I am (Croatia), you would know
how to appreciate such advance notice. In my country it is still
fairly normal for government to "invent" new taxtes that are
effective immediatelly (nothing major like VAT, but still not
something a business person would like)!
Up until few years ago it was even normal to have the taxes
popping out that were effective backwards!!! Meaning, you
already forgot how you managed to earn few bucks and the
government decided to apply some taxes to the money you
no longer have ;-)
Nope, I am *not* kidding!
Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong but US is thinking about
doing the same (or similar) what EU did. No?
What can we do?
Not much I guess...
