We had the same problem on our network where webmasters sign up with
asdf_at_asdf.com kind emails.
New version of sign up now email them confirmation link. In order to
join us they have to confirm by clicking on the link in email.
In your case, why don't you email them download link? Tell them on your
sign up form that download link will be in email they will get a few
seconds after they fill out demo request form. Usually they will put
correct email address. If this is online demo of your product, them
email direct link to your demo including user name and password if
required.
