Re: Explanation of traffic drop

This is a plain and simple explanation, I am sure there is more you can
add:

First: All html pages that you may have had before you turned to ASP,
bring them back to life as HTML pages...they are indexed---keep
them---you can update the content on the pages with the new look and
feel---it is actually recommended to do this as it shows that the pages
have been altered and improved on the engines.

Second: Make an HTML static Site Map, link to all of the other pages in
your site from the site map and make sure your site map is in the menu
or menu frame.

Third: Submit the site map page and it will index the ASP pages through
the links to the individual pages in the site map. Generally ASP is not
effective because the engines are not trained to "querie" for you site
pages, this does the querie for them, and gives them a "direct" path to
the page.

Site Maps are under utilized but essential.

You may also consider reading your stats to see if the search engines
you were once receiving all of your hits from have changed business
models or rules and you have been dropped-off because you where not
paying.

Sincerely,
