Categorization of sites

I would like to figure out who's best in categorizing
content, who do you find most accurate? Who has the best
coverage?
Yahoo (human editors)?
DMOZ (volounteer human editors)?
Looksmart (human editors)?
Alexa (user suggestions)?
Google (method?)?
Something else?

Is there anything new/interesting out there that I
haven't thought of?

Reason for asking is that we try to form "clusters" of
related sites and would need something more "scientific"
when trying to categorize the sites.

Any ideas... anyone?
