Regarding floating ads. If you ask 10 people you'll get 11 opinions. When we
desing an online ad campaign all formats are under consideration. Here, in
my opinion are the deciding factors-in a nutshell.
1. Who is your target audience?
2. What are their online habits? What sights match this demographic
3. What formats have worked well on that site. Here is where I find the
greatest debae on formats.In short site content creates certain experience
expectations on the part of the users. Ads on that site should fit with
those expectations.

In short there is no ONE effective format. The right answer is the product
of several factors:customer first then objectives followed by technology,
cost and scale.
