Yes, Mail Washer's other nice feature is that it will download only header
information and allows you to check, or un-check, potential spam
messages. Mail Washer will either automatically delete them for you, or
you can manually check to have them deleted. It's really a super program
to quickly see what's on your mail server before downloading all of your
email to your email client.

The anonymous "return mail back to the spammer" feature is not bad. It
sends back an email to the last known sender of the message using an
anonymous, bogus, email return address. However, not in all cases is the
last known sender of the potential spam the right person to complain to either.

I also like McAfee's Spam Killer program. It took me about a week to
personally adjust the program to accommodate all of my email addresses, but
I really like the program. It does everything Mail Washer does plus I can
trace back the potential spam message all the way back to all of the
various mail servers. In addition, the program updates itself
automatically quite often incorporating a very large list of known spammers
and will kill a potential spam email. I have my Spam Killer email to save
all killed email for 2 days so I can check just to make sure the program
didn't kill an email I actually wanted to keep. http://www.mcafee.com
