Hi Eric,
We have had a lot of success using co-registrations to build our
newsletter readership. While I haven't tried any of the services you
identify, we have constructed our own co-registration system, worked
with various partners, and I've written an article about the lessons
we've learned (you can read it here:

event, successful ones are based on a true partnership and one that
benefits the subscriber's as well, giving them a way to easily opt-in,
but also not feeling pressured. I also believe strongly that the offers
must be complementary to the focal site, so that subscribers see a
benefit from signing up for another newsletter. For this reason, I just
don't see the long term value of general lists that tend to push
subscribers into all sorts of unrelated newsletters.

Of course, that's just my humble opinion.
