Re: Dealing with Spam and other canned meats

For the email optin newsletters I own, I notice more and more subscribers
using "throw away" email addresses or free webmail addresses. I don't think
it''s because they don't have real ISP addresses but they want to avoid
spam in their personal inboxes. On one hand, they want to read ezines
they're interested in .. on the other they're worried about spam or
"special offers".

I not sure what this implies in the long run .. but it certainly doesn't do
my ezines any good to be cluttered among 500 spams and 10 other real
ezines. Also it may mean that my ezine get read later ... perhaps only when
subscribers login to their webmail - when they get to it!

Let's face it ... I use a throw away address for my favorite ezines too.
Surprisingly I don't get much spams through it. The spams usually come from
harvested addresses (certainly not harvested thru' my site but don't know
how they got it anyway).

Have A Nice Day!

Michael
