Re: Dealing with Spam

I have complained to everyone involved in the spam chain for the company
Equat.com,(aka freeview.com and mailbank.com) I am sure you got an email
from them yesterday, we got several hundred.

They sent the mail using bluestreak: BlueStreak will not shutdown their
account, only "remove the email"
They are hosted at FusePoint/RoundHeaven: But the liklihood of them
enforcing spam policy is low because the spam is costing equat in the
thousands of $$$ in bandwidth
Shaw/BigPipe: too large to care

In addition the name of the firm changes every two months, from
freeview.com, to modularwebsites.com, to semicustomwebsites.com, etc.

How do you stop them?

I ran into the same problem with Frontlinelearning.com, netcorps and
netcentric are too happy with the bandwidth payments made by their
spammer Frontlinelearning...they aren't going to budge, and Arpnet is
too large to care, they expect netcentric to take action...what do you
do? (Online Conflicts of Interest)

I know for a fact that these firms are using "crawlers" and "whois" root
access that they must have as domain registration firms... I suppose it
is hopeless to fight this war...if this continiues people will "join
them" and online advertising is going to take a huge blow. This is the
real spam landscape...not server blocking and softwares that only put
your finger in an even greater hole. How do you really deal with SPAM?
The online conflicts of interest.

Sincerely,

Ryan
