Re: Co-Registration Opt-Ins

Hi All,

Stuart brings up some great points.

You have to make sure that you are educated on what to look for before
diving into the purchase, or you will end of getting way less than what you
paid for. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unethical people in this
industry that will gladly take your money and give you opt-outs when you
really purchased opt-ins.

There are 2 things that I think everyone needs to consider:

1. Pay the extra money, and run with confirmed opt-in campaigns. If you
do not want to pay $1.25+ per record for a true confirmed opt-in, then:
2. Run single opt-in campaigns in which the provider guarantees the opt-in
process by supplying you with IP address, time and date stamps, and sites
of origin in case of spam complaints. In addition, make sure the single
opt-in is backed up with an auto-responder that is sent out to every new
subscriber. This really helps to ensure the quality of the subscribers.

Last but not least, you need to question the company you are thinking of
running with hard on their practices to make sure you are comfortable with
how they are generating their co-registrations. If you see they are
engaging in opt-outs, etc, that is a red flag. We deal strictly with
Opt-ins or confirmed opt-ins, and won't consider anything else even though
there is money to be made.

If these steps are taken, co-registration can be a great thing. If not,
you may just get taken to the cleaners, and end of spamming unknowingly
because you chose an unethical company.

Hope that helps.

Best Regards,

Rob Charles
