Lynda,
The people on this list are knowledgeable search engine
specialists...but they are giving you one piece of technical bad advice
by recommending that you not use dynamic pages at all if you want to get
into the search engines.
2 samples:

appears to be) will not be indexed by any search engines.
It pains me to think of you considering compromising your site's
advanced functionality for this reason! This is like your tax advisor
saying that if you simply didn't have any profits in your business, you
wouldn't have to pay taxes! The secret is to do something that allows
you to harness the power of dynamic pages AND get included in the search
engine.
Since you're using ASP, here is your solution...and this sort of
thing is available (from other companies) for many other platforms as
well. I turned Paul J. Bruemmer at Clickz onto this technique and he
published it in his article a way back when:
