A fairly high percentage of sites I visit utilize JavaScript for
functionality that I would consider critical or nice to use. While
disabling JS would certainly cut down on the popup/popunder ads I see, it
would also break much of the functionality I'd rather have available to me.
So this strategy may work well, but only for people who visit sites which
don't use JS for something critical (and there are plenty that do). If I
wanted to eliminate popups and popunders without crippling other JS code,
I'd use one of the many software packages that are designed to do just that.
