I have worked with Overture for some time now and have found their
services to be extremely valuable for most clients. The AutoBidding
feature has worked well. I track the cost per action(lead, sale,
contact, etc) that is needed for each Overture account. By doing this I
am able to determine an exact threshold I can pay per click. I let the
AutoBidding keep me in the position I want until I run out of money or
reach the CPC threshold I set.
Determining the success of Overture by just looking at the percentage of
traffic to your site from Overture is a poor way to judge success. You
may have a huge amount of conversions from that small percentage of
traffic if you targeted correctly.
