Re: Overture & AutoBidding
Sorry to hear that Dave had a bad time with Overture, but his experience
can't be taken as representative of most advertisers' success with
Overture.
We run a Search Engine Positioning company and we have found that our
clients get great results and many conversions when using Pay-Per-Click
advertising. We have worked with several online casinos previously, who
have had tremendous conversion rates from Overture, as is evidenced by
their willingness to pay up to $15 per click on several keywords.
The key to Overture, or any other PPC search engine, is the selection of
your keywords, (niche terms are way more effective that obvious ones),
the way you write your titles and descriptions, and understanding how to
calculate your ROI. If you want targeted traffic from Search Engines,
this is the way to go, as you can reach 85% of all web users and still
do it affordably, if you understand how the system works.
Auto-bidding can be a great tool, both for the novice and experienced
user, if you take the time to set it up appropriately. Hope that helps.
I'd be happy to answer any additional questions you have on PPC
advertising both on and off the board.
