Whitney, there are many ways to expand your newsletter distribution.
It depends on your ad budget. There are some useful free techniques
like swapping ads with similar newsletters, writing articles and at
the end you put a resource box about you and your newsletter.

You could be a sponsor of some high quality newsletter similar
to yours. You could run a contest with some interesting prizes. For
example you say:"Recommend this newsletter to 5 friends of yours and
you will have a chance to get a free Palm". Or you can establish your
award that you will give to high quality newsletter. When you give
them your award, put their button on your web site or review in your
email newsletter. Then, maybe they will say something nice about you
in their email newsletter or website.
