Start Your Engines: Launch News for Lycos InSite_ AdBuyer!
As announced on August 12, 2002, FindWhat.com has entered into a special
agreement to provide the keyword advertising solution under our private
label service for the new Lycos InSite AdBuyer program.
What does this mean for you?
As a FindWhat.com advertiser, you can take advantage of our special
relationship with Lycos to create your Lycos InSite AdBuyer account by
copying your FindWhat.com account quickly, seamlessly, and with virtually no
effort or time wasted. Be first off the starting line to get more qualified
traffic by signing up to display your keyword advertisements on Lycos and
HotBot.
How Do I Effortlessly Open Up My Lycos InSite AdBuyer Account?
Towards the end of this month we will give you the URL link that you can
click on to open up your InSite AdBuyer account. You will find this URL link
in the "today's task" section in your FindWhat.com account "lobby" area.
Because Lycos operates a little differently than FindWhat.com, you will have
two options to choose from.
1) Copy your entire FindWhat.com account to Lycos InSite AdBuyer, raising
any bid prices that are less than $0.05 to Lycos's $0.05 bid minimum, and
keeping all of your other FindWhat.com bids the same.
2) Copy your entire FindWhat.com account to Lycos InSite AdBuyer and set all
bid prices to Lycos's $0.05 minimum.
After a couple clicks of your mouse you will be ready to go within 5
minutes, in most cases.
Note: The account information to be copied from your FindWhat.com account to
your new Lycos InSite AdBuyer account includes all of your active keyword
advertisements (listings) and corresponding keywords, and all credit card
information on file.
Once you have opened your Lycos InSite AdBuyer account, you will have all of
the same tools and reports offered within FindWhat.com's Listing Management
Center. This includes our new Bid Optimizer within the Listing Manager,
where you can easily set your bids either to a set bid amount or to a
certain position with a defined maximum bid. So no matter which of the two
options you choose to set up your Lycos InSite AdBuyer account, remember
that you can easily manage your bids at any time after you go through the
set up process.
This special time period allows you to manage and optimize your account so
that you are ready for the LIVE launch of Lycos InSite AdBuyer (in
mid-September). Please note that you will NOT see your listings on Lycos or
HotBot, or receive any traffic from your Lycos InSite AdBuyer account until
the actual LIVE launch date. We will notify you via another FindWhat.com
Trafficbuilder Special Update and in "today's task" section of your
FindWhat.com account "lobby" area just before the LIVE launch date.
Please note that the Lycos InSite AdBuyer program is entirely separate from
your FindWhat.com account and as such, you will be handling them separately
after this one-time copy feature.
