Sandra,
It is possible to get some of the info you are looking for from off the
shelf products. But I am afraid that you are going to run into a
nightmare again as you try to calculate total profit, return on
investment, etc. You may want to think more about a process to
integrate your databases of this information. It may give you more
flexibility in the long run. For example, integrating info from your
site analysis tool, with your customer database using a Cognos product.
I am actually working with a couple clients now who are developing a
similar system. Feel free to contact me offline and we can chat. Our
team has spent a long time brainstorming solutions to this and are
always interested in hearing what others are running into.
Does anyone else have examples of solutions that did not work?
