Thanks for the plug, Jim. I was about to respond to this note myself.

I never did make it to any of the seminars (including Jim's,
unfortunately), but I'd agree @d:tech was a great show. It almost felt like
1999 again, except that people weren't acting like idiots and making
impossible promises (just a few unlikely ones). I haven't been to a show in
years that was so well attended and full of enthusiasm for the industry.
Lots of familiar faces still in the industry from 6 years ago, plus a
number of vendors I'd never known before (just in case you thought startups
were a thing of the past).

I do plan to write up a final commentary on the show this afternoon plus
some highlights of the interesting vendors I met at the show this afternoon
and tomorrow on www.executivesummary.com but I already have written a few
things about the show there earlier in the week.

BTW, I've been dormant on this list for a while, but since I've taken this
opportunity to resurface here, let me call to anyone's attention who hasn't
