I have several questions regarding reselling "Traffic" a.k.a
popups/unders/exits and Opt-in Emails as a part-time job and a way into
the online advertising business.
I'm hoping some of your more experienced in the industry can shed some
light and recommend services worth reselling.
Sites such as Gopopup.com, generationx-solutions.com and ahits.com all
offer reseller accounts at discounted rates.
1. How do we know the quality of this traffic? GenerationX does attempt
to provide several names of the .com's their popunders appear on,
actually being able to see one of your own ads is impossible. Some of
the others like Gopopup.com will not reveal the sites even to their
resellers. Are they hiding something, bound by NDA's? None of the
services will give you an entire list. This makes it difficult to sell
to clients.
2. The ultimate question really is, where are they getting all this
traffic? Is there really only one or two networks out there they are all
buying from? If so who are those networks? I'd sure love to know.
3. The opt-in email services also offered by the same companies. They
can offer resellers very attractive rates allowing for 1000% or more
markups. The results vary and I assume these results depend on now fresh
the lists they are sending to are. But the companies claim to be
targeting categories or even gender including for example Male, Sports,
Finance, Debt consolidation etc. How are the able to offer such low
prices? I'm talking being able to resell at rates starting from $7CPM
for as little as 100 emails at a time.
Can anyone recommend quality and reliable companies with good reseller
options? I love being able to sell "traffic" and "Opt-in Email" services
at low rates and love the feeling when clients are happy with their
campaigns. Finding quality and consistent results for the money can be
difficult.
