Different companies = different stories. I mean, there is no "magic
formula" for success in Internet advertising. In some online
campaigns, even banners can be effective, although we know the average
CTR for banner advertising :)

However, there are some proven techniques that, in most cases. can
be effective.

1) Email advertising - find some quality and targeted email
newsletters with good cost/benefit ratio

2) PPC - advertising on Overture or FindWhat can be effective if you
choose your keywords wisely (and also don't pay too much for keyword
bidding).

3) Using contests in Internet advertising. It can be very low-cost and
effective advertising.

4) If you are selling some goods or services, set-up a pay-per-sale
affiliate program.
