Re: Keywords registered with IGN

I do not, but I do have it with RealNames (now defunct). The reasons
RealNames worked so well were:

1. All text searches on the URL line are forwarded to MSN. MSN sandwiched
a "real names check" so that anything sent was first checked against the RN
database, and then against the MSN search engine. Thus, no plug ins were
required - every IE browser supported real names automatically

2. They had (at one time) 20+ major search engine deals.

Given adequate time, they blew them all, with MSN being the last to leave
the party.

With IGN (and many others) users must have a plug in installed in order to
use it. How many people do you really think have installed their
plugin? I know I got some high pressure calls (I don't recall if it was
IGN or another group) selling words at $500 to $5000. I literally beat
them over the head to tell me how many people had the plug in installed,
and they wouldn't let the number out. AFAIK, none of these networks are -
IN MY OPINION - of any real saturation or value. If some are, please
someone let us know.

Chris
