Integrating an email campaign manager with a CRM system

Integrating two software systems is rarely plug and play. Look for vendors
who have APIs (application programming interfaces). If both the CRM vendor
and email marketing software vendor have APIs, your integration effort will
be significantly smaller than if they don't. Your other (less optimal)
option is file import and export - most vendors support these for list
transfers, few support for sending campaign results from the email marketing
system to the CRM system.
