I was actually just talking with a client about this type of marketing and
from the answers I was getting from one of these companies (I don't
remember which one) I'm convinced that the plugins were getting installed
by piggybacking on other downloads, ala Gator and scumware type of
products. Most of the people who would have these plugins installed would
never even know it. If of course they could get the plugin loaded via the
morpheus' and kaaza's of the world, those numbers could probably very
achievable. Gator has listed they have 25 million users and over 500
advertisers according to a recent press release on their site. My $0.02.
