Hi Brad,

This is not that uncommon, anytime you are comparing data from a 3rd
party clicking through to your servers you will see a discrepancy. This
is the same thing as 3rd party ad serving. In the case that a user has a
slow connection, DNS problem, or stops your page from loading in the
process can cause these things. Example, a user on a slow dial-up
connection sees the Gator ad and clicks on it, right then a click is
counted on their side but not yet on your side. If the user for whatever
reason closes the window, has connection problems, can't resolve your
site DNS record, etc you will never see this user show up on your logs.
An ideal target is about 5-10% discrepancy so that number is still a bit
higher than it should be.
