Many of my clients use Hitwise. It is a great tool to compare how well your
website ranks againts the competition. It provides you with broad statistics
such as user sessions and page views. Their downstream and upstream
reporting is also useful tool to understand where your visitors have been
immediately prior to and after visiting your site. This would be a useful
information to understand the real competition.

HOWEVER, the effectiveness of their information depends on which country you
are in because Hitwise collects its data from arrangements with ISPs. I
would ask them their ISP coverage to see if it overlaps with your target
audience segment. For instance, in Australia they do not have relations with
two of the major ISPs that the corporates are using.
