Re: Best Ad Network?

<There is NO best network!

The real question is how can any publisher exist on the CPM's that these
leeches sell your product for? And then have the balls to take a major
share of that pitiful revenue for giving it away.>

Writing from the standpoint of a network, I thought I should offer a
rebuttal. The concept behind our network is to supplement your ad sales, not
detract from them. If you're able to sell your inventory for a high CPM, we
highly encourage it. However, the inventory you have left that you haven't
sold is ideal for an ad network, as it is our job to aggregate a number of
sites to provide a high reach medium for advertisers.

Fastclick charges advertisers based on inventory availability (as publishers
opt into campaigns--often by rate), ROI goals, and market demand. We then
pay out 65% of what we charge leaving 35% to cover sales, administrative and
technology overhead costs, as well as make a profit. Our business philosophy
has always been to maximize publisher revenue (in turn, to increase overall
inventory availability) and to meet the ROI goals of our advertisers.

We have thousands of websites--some who allow us to sell all their
inventory, and some who only give us a percentage of their inventory. Ad
Networks are available to anyone who wants to recognize additional revenue
without the burden of additional sales cost.
