I certainly enjoy your posts about branding, but on this one I beg to
differ. I've sent emails to Spam Cop in the past, and am glad to see they
actually do something. Anyone who sends me an unsolicited email is spamming
me, and I have zero tolerance for it. There are better ways to brand, and
your Frankelbees is a great example. If someone sends me an unsolicited
email, even if I'm interested in their product, they've lost me forever. No
turning back. If you blast anonymous, high-sales HTML messages, you're going
to be perceived as a spammer, because you are one. A highly personalized,
written by Rob Frankel email addressed to me personally that I know you took
the time to write only for me? That may be a different story. *May* be.
Depending on my mood.
I've also never heard of Spam Cop taking any money other than from people
subscribing to their service.
Cheers,
