The cyberworld is no different than the terrestrial one. In order to
grow your business, you must meet new people. I agree that walking
up to a stranger, slapping them on the back and breathing in their
face is offensive.

Walking over to someone and telling them you'd not only like to meet
them, but have a chance to work with them is perfectly fine.

It's all in the manner with which you approach.
