Re: Choosing an Ad Network/ Email Partner
Dear Brandon,
I am a media buyer with with an online marketing agency and I've worked
with all of these guys before. One of the problems with networks is that
you are very limited in your targeting. For instance with Fastclick you
would have to choose a category, the closest to your needs would be
"Autos, Boats, and Planes", "Family Living", or "Entertainment and
Leisure". If you ask they will give you a list of the sites that your
ads would be running on, and in my experience most of them wouldn't come
close to suiting your needs. In my opinion unless you want to run a
"branding" campaign it would be wise to stay away from these type of
buys. As stated in many conversations on this board "branding" is a good
solution if you have a "product", and a lot of money to buy millions of
impressions. Using an agency such as ourselves could be beneficial,
especially since you are new to the online marketplace. Agencies
normally have experience with many different companies and solutions for
advertisers, so they can come up with a plan that specifically meets
your needs and save you from doing all of the leg work and guessing. I
hope this helped.
Best regards,
