Re: Spam Cop

I have noticed that a lot of you spend lots of time dealing with junk
mail. I too receive lots of junk mail and made the mistake of using my
best email addresses for sign-ups. What I have resorted to is filtering
since I can do so for my entire domain. When I receive a spam or porn
email, I look at the domain. If I don't expect to receive email from
there, I put it into the list. I never receive email from this domain
again.

You might say that I will loose emails from important people but I know
their email address and never have trouble with someone getting hold of
me. I also use the filtering software in my email program to remove
emails that slip through. I have been pretty successful in going from 50
to 60 a day to maybe 3 or 4. It is much more manageable now and when
something new comes along, I just add them to the kill list. I never see
them again.

True, this takes resources and bandwidth. I don't expect there to be a
solution to that anytime soon. Not until the spammers have to deal with
the same issues the telemarketers do.
