My brokerage accounts all do this now. So do my banks. Why not them as
well?

What it shows me is that CJ is hurting and trying to find a new stream
of revenue.

If a lot of people leave CJ, they will have to come up with some other
way to generate revenue. They can not grow any more by adding
subscribers. The investors want their money back and thus CJ has to
resort to these tactics to increase revenues.
