Let me raise the rhetoric level a notch or two...

So do fraud perpetrators, scam artists and the like
Are you saying they should be allowed to ply their trades
without restrictions or people having the ability to defend
themselves?

Spam Cop sprang up because politicians are unwilling
to regulate spam.

If that is what you truly believe, I hope someone breaks
into your house and steals all of your property so that
they can feed their family.
