Okay, I'll jump in one time here and comment that I see UCE and Spam
as two different venues. In fact, I just wrote an e-book about it,
if anyone is interested.
I use UCE, but never spam. The result is that I get much more, much
better business. I get NO spam accusations, or any ill will from the
recipients.
The difference is how and what you do. Simply blasting out crap will
always bring back worse crap.
Offline, I'm seeing more about "vocal marketing", where a server
calls, detects voicemail and leaves a human voice message. If it
detects anything other than voicemail, it hangs up. I'm still trying
to figure out how that isn't offline spam, yet I hear it's amazingly
successful and I don't hear much public outcry.
Go figure.
