While I don't agree with Melinda's point of view, I believe she
absolutely had a right to say it. What I disagree with is her bring
personal values into the mix by referring to children and doing whatever
it takes to survive. That had absolutely nothing to do with the
argument and could have been left out.
I do however, disagree with Jim's use of the terms "disgusting",
"horrid" and others. In one of the original responses to the topic when
it was brought up the term immoral was used I believe in someone's post.
Because we disagree with someone does not necessarily mean we are
right.
But at the same time this is a voluntary board. I think people have the
right to say what they think as long as we are talking about the topic
which is important to this board. Things such as "doing whatever it
takes to feed a family" have nothing to do with the topic.
Virtually every board I have belonged or currently belong to lets
personal remarks get through once in a while. In general I think you
have done a great job.
