Melinda,

To tell you the truth, I was a little shocked to see your views on the
matter of spam too. Tried hard to get it around my head but I'm afraid I
find it difficult.

Your point is well-taken but it veers around the premise that every
spammer does it because (s)he *needs* to do it. This is not true.
I'd be willing to wager that most of these 'suckers' (to use an
American phrase) are actually lazy bums who don't have a meaningful
source of revenue and probably don't need because spamming pays
them well.

Giving an example of your own hard times does not justify a mass
malpractice. I empathize totally with what you had to face, indeed
several of us have had to go through something difficult or
another at some point in our lives. But that has not led me to
embrace schemes that clearly harm others.

You are clearly a minority among avid users of the net -- most of us get
loads of spam.

I don't mean to change your mind. Just my thoughts.

Cheers, and enjoy your spam-free days while they last! :)

Shanx
